The Highwayman
The Highwayman has been part of The Ribble Valley Inns for seven years and in June 2014 re-opened following a full refurbishment. Visitors to the Highwayman will enjoy a wonderful relaxing environment offering true Lancashire hospitality. Celebrate the great British summer in the beautifully appointed garden terrace for al fresco dining, whilst crackling log fires inside make it the ideal winter dining and drinking destination too. From cocktails on the lawn to hearty meals by the fire, the Highwayman will truly be an iconic gastro haven for all seasons.
Way back when the Highwayman opened in 2007, co-founder and Michelin starred chef Nigel Haworth pioneered a new style of cooking at the second of his Ribble Valley Inns. Drawing on producers from Yorkshire, Cumbria and Lancashire, for whom farming and artisan craftsmanship are a way of life, he placed the finest regional and seasonal food at the heart of his country pub. Seven years on, the Highwayman continues to thrive following a £200k refurbishment, not to mention the appointment of a remarkable new chef.
